Playground Markings
The Playground Markings Pack is a great opportunity for children to boost the level of play in the school playground. By helping children to design a broad range of exciting and fun play markings, the playground can be transformed into a child friendly creative play zone.
The programme aims to teach children through key principles in playground design; developing 'scratch ideas' into game markings, which heighten play opportunities and learning for children of all ages.
Incorporated into this pack can be discussion of quiet spaces, equipment needed for play, etc.
Preparing for Playtime
The transition from the nursery into the infant playground is a big step for small children. With the support of the school, however, young children's minds can be put at ease by introducing them to positive play experiences in primary one.
Preparing for Play does just that.
The pack aims to:
- encourage children to explore playtime, think about fairness in play and discover the fun, friendship and joy of playtime.
- introduce children to a range of simple playground games involving friendship, sharing and co-operation.
