A graduation ceremony took place at the Dundee International Women’s Centre to celebrate the achievements of the participants from the Women’s Ethnic Minority Childcare Project. The project is organised, managed and delivered by Fair Play Training.
The aim of this project is to provide ethnic minority women with the opportunity to gain a selection of childcare related qualifications in a fun, friendly and informal way. We also incorporate ‘hands on’ workshops, group outings, visits to local childcare settings and gather information from local and national organisations and community groups. In turn we hope to enhance the women’s self-esteem, confidence and the representation of ethnic minority childcare workers in Dundee.
The project runs from August to June every Tuesday and Wednesday morning between 10am-12noon in the Dundee International Women’s Centre. Creche facilities are provided along with friendly approachable staff.
