The Women Ahead Business Awards were announced at a dinner in The Apex City Quay Hotel on Friday 18th November 2005.
Maureen Graham was a runner up of the Sunshine Award for her work in promoting play and fund raising for Fair Play Training (not Play Fair as stated in the ‘Courier’ report!).
Maureen has been instrumental in Fair Play Training gaining the reputation it has today and has personally raised over L250.000 by searching out sources of funding and taking the time to fill in numerous applications. Fair Play Training has no core funding so this work has helped sustain the company and allowed for its growth. We are deeply indebted and extremely appreciative of Maureen’s efforts.
Maureen was joined at the dinner by Iain Turnbull (present Chairman of the Board), Sheila Mathieson (previously Project Co-ordinator) and members of Fair Play Training’s staff team.
