SVQ Level 4 Playwork pilot programme

The SVQ Level 4 Playwork pilot programme has now commenced in Fife with 19 candidates.

A series of Play workshops in North Lanarkshire have been well received with folk even braving severe weather to attend.

Restructuring

Due to recent restructuring the Fair Play Board has decided to make 3 posts redundant from the beginning of September. Our new structure ensures that Fair Play Training will continue to develop and provide a full range of services to the community at competitive market rates - indeed we aim to add SVQ Playwork Level 4 to our portfolio in the near future.

Graduation Ceremony

A graduation ceremony took place at the Dundee International Women’s Centre to celebrate the achievements of the participants from the Women’s Ethnic Minority Childcare Project. The project is organised, managed and delivered by Fair Play Training.

Munro Fundraising News

Wednesday 10th May 2006


Despite facing a biting wind and having to walk through fields of snow, our intrepid trekkers made it to the top of the two Munros.

Now that they have defrosted and can walk properly again they are delighted to announce that at least £393 was raised.

THE MUNRO MARCH (in April!)

On 22nd April 2006 , some of the Fair Play Training staff (Geraldine, Sharon, Loraine and Angie) are taking to the hills to raise oodles of money so that Fair Play Training can replenish and extend our Resources Library e.g. our badge machine was so popular it suffered terminal metal fatigue and will cost L350 to replace.

The Women Ahead Business Awards

The Women Ahead Business Awards

The Women Ahead Business Awards were announced at a dinner in The Apex City Quay Hotel on Friday 18 th November 2005.

Maureen Graham was a runner up of the Sunshine Award for her work in promoting play and fund raising for Fair Play Training (not Play Fair as stated in the ‘Courier' report!).
